Best Day Ever!!!

This past week was NOT the best. I was blind for most of it, and I am still in desperate need of glasses. (Hence absent for the past few days). 

But today, today is a good day. No, a great day. The Best Day Ever!!! I am happy to announce I am the winner of Apple Blue's Biggest Giveaway Ever!!!!!!! I know me, seriously. When I read the email, I just about peed my pants because I was laughing sooo hard. I couldn't believe it. I still can't. Thinking/Planning Ahead

     Garrett and I just started thinking and talking about how we would like to celebrate our Two-Year Anniversary coming up in May! I can't believe its been nearly two years already. Some days it seems like we just got hitched...and other days it feels like we've always been married. It's quite a fine line :)
     My original idea was to go to a concert and see one of our favorite bands play, but unfortunately all the ones we wanted to see are already sold out. I guess we'll have to plan earlier next year. The next idea he came up with, and it sounds like a lot of fun. He wants to take a road trip to and visit the Grand Canyon. We both have never been, and it would mean we would be able to spend lots of time just the two of us. It's my favorite (only idea-except just getting a hotel room) idea at the moment.      Yeah, the more I think about it and look at those gorgeous photos, we'll end up spending our anniversary in beautiful nature! Now to decide if we'll take in the sights on a donkey's back, hiking, or water rafting! Getting soo excited!!!

P.S. I got the most EPIC raise!!!!!!! Yay me :D

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I spent this raining evening enjoying a movie with my momma :) She brought over Hugo. It was so so so good! It's one of the best movies I've seen in quite some time. If ya haven't seen it yet, go rent/buy/watch it! New favorite!!!

Lessons to Learn

Thank You I am Baker for Originally Blogging/Pinning This

So, this is what I'm learning this evening. It's a tough lesson to learn because my mouth always seems to open and spew out some not-so-nice stuff. But it's quite funny how God seems to tap me on the shoulder, while browsing Pinterest in my unrighteous anger fresh from a fight with the boys, and go "A-hem!" It's hard not to shrivel up in a ball and wallow in self pity. I did manage to say sorry though, but only because there were other inspiring words from Up Above to push me along. I just love that last one especially. I am so thankful for a God that loves me enough to take the time to teach me and for a very forgiving husband and brother-in-law. We all need forgiveness and to forgive because, after all, we are forgiven (that totally makes sense to me).

New Good Things

Sooo...I kind of got semi-promoted at work!!! Well, It's more of a move to a different department, but it does come with a pay raise, and it is what I always wanted! I'm sooo excited and happy!!! But, I'm currently being trained, and there is soo much to remember! I'm so afraid I'm not going to retain all the information and totally suck. Everyone keeps telling me I'm doing a great job, and it is going to be a perfect fit, but I can't help but not believe them. Isn't it funny how we (I hope I'm not the only one), have a hard time accepting compliments or good things? I personally struggle with this quite frequently. Its something I'm trying to get over, but its hard for me, as a perfectionist, to accept that I'm good at things even though I may not be perfect at them. Good vs. Perfect I have to keep reminding myself that only God is perfect, and He made me "very good" (Genesis 1:31). He made us all very good, and I don't need to worry about being perfect because I'm already His masterpiece.

My New Baby

I am the proud new momma of Fionna, my new iMac!!!! Garrett surprised me with this most amazing computer (which I'm typing on right now) today :) I'm so excited and have been in desperate need of a computer for almost a year. Soo thankful and blessed!!! And now I can upload all those thousands of pictures from my camera and phone and can do a proper update of our lives for the past two years through the view of the camera lens! Look at her! Ain't she a Beaut?! :D
