Happy Birthday Darling!

It was this guy's birthday yesterday!

My love turned 25 yesterday! We had a lovely day of just simply hanging out together enjoying each other's company. It was a really nice day. And it ended with some yummy pizookie!

Playing Catch Up

Fourth of July by Her

Life has more than snuck up on me. It has taken over my life.

I cannot believe its already August! My Mister and I's Birthday Month!! My Summer has been a little boring thus far. Since I last checked in here, all I've done is work, work, work it seems. Work is good, don't get me wrong, and I am truly blessed to have a job I get to be so creative in. But sometimes, a girl and her man need to get away and take break. I'm hoping for some relaxing time maybe for our birthdays.

Since, I missed most of June and all of July...Currently I'm:

Loving: Tuesday nights at with one of my besties and her family talking and learning about the Church's history since Bible times. It's been really interesting, and I'm learning and hearing things I never grew talking about at my private Christian schools or church. Plus it means I get time with Rachel after dreaming up art projects, yummy food, and laughing till our cheeks hurt!

Thinking About: The future and what that may hold for my Mister and I. Both of our Bebe Fevs have only gotten worse with time, and being patient isn't getting any easier, but apparently we are still waiting. Thankfully, I get to be a awesome Auntie and Godmomma to some wonderfully cute kiddos I just love oh so much!

Listening To: I've recently rediscovered my CD case from high school, and I've found an old mix CD from a close friend from back then. It brings back so many memories of driving around our town with the windows rolled down, the music blasting with no particular place to be. Good times! And I just love the title of the mix: Feel Good Songs. Thank you Morgan Parker.

Watching: The Hubs and I have been powering through the series Battlestar Galactica on Netflix. Its soo good! I highly recommend it, especially if you are into sci-fi!

How's your summer been so far?

It's Been Awhile

Where does the time go? I feel like I've been going non stop for the past few weeks, and now my body is revolting and demanding rest. This was NOT a good week. It was rather crappy and depressing. And to top it all of I had the worst sinus pressure headache ever today. But thankfully the week is at an end, and a new week begins anew.

Date Night by Her

I can't really complain because I've got this wonderful guy who makes life spectacular.

Memorial Day Hike by Her

Got to spend the day with good friends in the beautiful outdoors a few weekends ago.

I hope to spending most of my summer free time at the sea.

Family Beach Day by Her

We thoroughly enjoyed Garrett's Pop coming out for a visit last weekend.

After looking through this past months photos and experiencing a very hellish week, I am so thankful for the great adventures I get to go on and the good people I am surrounded by. This will be better week because it really can't get much worse anyways. Happy Weekend.

The Small Moments and The In Betweens

Newport Beach, Ca by Her

It feels good to cherish the small moments--watching my Mister sleep, cuddling even though it is hotter than hell, listening to good music to unwind, relaxing after a hard days work, eating a good home cooked meal, singing in the car, day dreaming, kisses--and all the in between times.

My Mister and I don't get to see each other much due to our work schedules being opposite, but every moment we have together we try to make the best of it and have a good time making each other laugh. I do love him oh so very much, and we had a lovely time celebrating our 2 year anniversary the week before last. We stayed at the cutest hotel right on the beach in Newport Beach, Ca. There was sun-water-bike fun had by all! It was so nice to get away for a bit and simply enjoy each other's company.

I feel as if I've been absent on this front lately. I haven't made writing/blogging a priority, which I would like to change along with numerous other attempted endeavors, but it all doesn't seem likely to happen as quickly as I would hope. I've been adjusting to my new work responsibilities, and I'm officially trained and on my own to either sink or swim, and I've been paddling pretty well if I do say so myself. Here is what life has been like according to my iPhone and Instagram (follow me @courtneynicoles):

Almost Anniversary

It's almost been 2 years since we said "I do!" And oh what a 2 years its been! We have grown so much closer to each other and have learned so much more about one another. If anything these past two years have taught us is to never lose HOPE, and that God will get us through anything as long as we depend on Him and love one another. And I do love Garrett so much!!! Words can never fully express or capture the feelings I have for my husband! I am so grateful to be married to him and to call him my beloved. He is my best friend, my lover, the one. Happy Two Years Love!

Happy Days

A bit of Inspiration: NY Times

I have decided the apartment needs some changes. Since money is still a bit of an issue, I want to move the crosses to above Bryan's desk, and put an inspiration board above my computer. I already have collections of bits and pieces hiding in every drawer and box to put on said board. It also encourages Spring cleaning while digging out my inspirations. Speaking of Spring cleaning, this apt. needs a good deep cleaning. I want to invest in getting the carpet cleaned and some curtains to bring in some color.

Spring has Sprung! I want to paint my nails and wear bright dresses and skirts. I want to embrace the coming season with vibrantness (yes, I think that's a made up word) and lightness. And I can't forget the beats. The drumming. The electric music. Embrace it all!

If you can't tell, I've been all smiles lately. This week has been filled with baby kissing, smiles and lots of dancing. It has been a good week. Yay!

The Glasses

This week has been very productive so far. I've bought my Easter dress, changed my name, and today, I had my third eye exam in a weeks time and finally ordered my glasses. They should be arriving in the next two weeks! Here's a sneak peak:

I'm so excited to be the proud owner of these stylish frames! Sears Optical had a really neat sale going on, and I was able to get a 2nd pair of frames for only $99 (for both-including lenses). So I also was able to pick up these sweet frames too:

Feeling very blessed to be able to afford these lovely glasses so these awful headaches can subside. If you are need of an eye exam and do not have insurance, like me, Sears Optical has great prices, and their staff is very patient and friendly. Plus don't forget about their sale going on. I think it ends mid May, so don't be a snail!

Bebe Fevs

I wanted to share a personal journal entry from mid March. I meant to post this the very week I wrote it, but I never found the time. So here is a glimpse at what goes on my head and what ends up from pen to page:

March 16, 2012
This was a hard week. This was a challenging week. Babysitting is hard, but despite all the tiredness and drama, I still want a baby. I know it will be hard and challenging, and I'll feel more tired than I do, but I know I'll feel differently when its my own child. And I know that I'll have the support of my husband that I can count on. I know we aren't financially ready or probably emotionally, but I just can't shake this baby fever boiling up within me. I want a soft, cuddly, sweet, crying, pooping, hungry baby. I can't help it. But at the same time, every time i think there's a small, tiny, minute, chance I could be preggos, I freak out- the sick-nauseation-omg-tears freak out- because I know in reality we absolutely cannot afford to have a baby at the moment. So no baby, but a girl can dream. And the thing that makes it worse is that Garrett feels the same way, which makes it ten times more hard not to...{sigh}

The Day to Day

Garrett and I both are dreaming of taking a vacation. A break from the day to day. This is a photo from our honeymoon. Taken from the boat in Ensenada, Mexico.

Today, I spent 3 lovely hours at the DMV finally changing my name. I know, I know, I took far to long to take care of this, but I am now legally a Stifle!

The Hubs: "Finally! Took ya two years!"
Me: "No, not even!"

I totally win this one on a technicality. We haven't had our two year anniversary yet, hehehe. But on Sunday, we did celebrate Seven Years of Togetherness!! I can't believe its been seven whole years! We celebrated by snuggling and taking a nap together. We have turned into that old couple, and I'm happy to be that cute old couple :)

I'm Currently...

Loving: I've recently discovered green tea lattes at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and they are quite delicious! I'm pretty much obsessed with them now and need to consume a cup daily. Oh, and the Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearl Green Tea just makes it so smooth and perfect. A must try!

Thinking About: My dear friend Rachel asked me intriguing question the other day- How is your heart? I'm still processing my response. I've never been asked such a thought-provoking-intimate question. She is such a caring friend.

Anticipating: I'm super excited about Easter this year. We are celebrating with my mom and brother and family. I'm helping my mom prepare a great feast! We usual spend Easter with family friends, so I'm really looking forward to creating to new family traditions.

Listening to: I'm streaming Pandora's Stars station at the moment and thoroughly enjoying the melodic variety.

Eating: We've been a bit obsessed with Cuca's bean and cheese burritos. I cannot forget to mention the mouth watering salsa! It really hits the spot!!

Wishing: I got to go Easter dress shopping yesterday and found the cutest dress (pics to come) at Forever 21. And I'm about to go back and pick up a few other dresses that I'm still dreaming about. So cute!

I hope everyone is having magical week!
